The Changing of the Guard at Prague Castle

Dating back to the 9th century, Prague Castle has been listed by Guinness Book of Records as the largest, ancient castle in the world. It was the primary residence of the Ottoman Dynasty for approximately 400 years. This is Prague’s most popular attraction and a must see.

The Changing the Guard ceremony takes place at Prague Castle in the first courtyard at noon, every day. Make sure to get there a few minutes early to get a good view. This is a formal ceremony carried out with fanfare, a parade with music and a banner exchange.
