See the Life Underground Sculptures

In your hurry to get from “Here to There” on the subway station at 14th Street - 8th Avenue, keep a watch out for some unique, public art works depicting the making of the subway, urban myths and details of life in New York City. As part of a multi-million dollar subway renovation project, artist Tom Otterness designed more than 100 bronze, cartoon-like people and animal statues. It took Otterness almost ten years to complete his creations that show what goes on above ground in the form of his underground sculptures.
