Scuba Dive the Kittiwake Shipwreck

Some of the best diving sites in the world are in the Cayman Islands.
With over 365 dive sites, you will be able to discover colorful, coral reefs, stingrays gliding along sandbars and mysterious, sunken ships.
Take your adventures to a new level when you dive nearly 70 feet below the water to explore the USS Kittiwake, one of the most popular wreck dives in the world. The water is so clear and calm that you can snorkel on the surface and see the entire ship. For a deeper dive, you can explore its propeller and steering wheel, the smoke stack, the water cannons and even the mirrors that are still in the bathrooms.

After 50 years of service in the United States Navy, the decommissioned ship was sunk near Seven Mile Beach to make an artificial reef. Since it was sunk in 2011, it has become a home for a wide variety of marine life including turtles, eels, barracudas, schools of tropical fish and even an octopus.
