Ride the Ferry to See the Statue of Liberty

Ride the Ferry to See the Statue of Liberty

You will see some spectacular views of downtown Manhattan as you enjoy the 25 minute ride to Liberty Island. Purchase a ferry pass that will also give you access to Ellis Island, the former inspection station and first port of entry into the United States for over 12 million immigrants from 1892 until 1954. The Statue of Liberty faces southeast as a welcoming symbol to ships entering the New York Harbor. Her torch symbolizes lighting a path to freedom and liberty. Since 1905, the Staten Island Ferry has transported over 21 million passengers.
