Ride in Megavalanche
Imagine hundreds of thrill seeking, adrenaline junkies on mountain bikes perched at the edge of a black diamond ski run, waiting for the start of one of the most dangerous races to begin. As the horn sounds, they all take off in a rush. Riders crash into each other, causing massive pile-ups of bikes and bodies.
The first quarter of a mile is more sliding then riding, as riders use their feet to balance as they fly at high speeds down the mountain. The UCC Megavalanche is one of the longest and steepest downhill races in the world and can cause serious injury to those participating.
