Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge
The St. Anna Bay is one of the most picturesque parts of Curacao and will give you stunning views of both the waterfront and the colorful, pastel houses that span the length of the river. Right in the middle of it all is the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge that swings open at set times every hour to allow ships into the bay. Supported by over sixteen pontoon boats, the bridge is a great place to see the city and snap a few photos. Built in 1888, the locals have affectionately given the bridge the nickname of the “Swinging Old Lady”.
