Pando the Trembling Giant
Do you think the largest living thing in the world is a blue whale? Think again. Pando is the largest “living thing” in the world and it is the size of 80 football fields. While it may look like just a forest of quaking aspen in Fish Lake National Forest, the leaves, branches and trunks of the more than 47,000 trees all share one root system, making it the largest single living organism in the world.
