Hunt for Sea Glass

Hunt for Sea Glass

This may look like a fantasy beach where a thousand pirates dumped their treasure chests, spilling jewels all over the shore, but this is actually a real place on Russia’s Pacific shoreline. Known as Glass Beach, this deserted beach was the location where truckloads of broken vodka bottles were dumped into the ocean. Over twenty years of tumbling in the waves has turned these glass bits smooth as pebbles. It’s now a famous tourist attraction on Ussuri Bay, near the Naval port of Vladivostok, Russia.
