Find the Tree Goats
Nimble-footed goats are attracted to the fruit of the Argan trees. Hordes of goats can be found climbing and perching in the crooked, thorny branches of these rare trees that are grown almost exclusively in Morocco. These trees are often infested with nut hungry goats. The seeds in the Argan tree fruit cannot be digested by goats and the seeds are still intact when the goats poop. Farmers than pick the seeds out of the goat poop and the seeds are processed into Argan oil. Argan oil is very valuable. Due to the high levels of vitamin E and antioxidants in the oil, it is used in expensive hair and skin care products. Farmers also earn a good income by charging tourists money to take photos of their cloven-footed, tree climbers, which have become a very popular and profitable roadside attraction.
