Feast at a Luau
Pacific Island traditions come to life as you experience the food, entertainment and Hawaiian hospitality at a sunset luau on the beaches of Oahu. In 1847, the greatest luau of all time was hosted by King Kamehameha III, known as “The Merry Monarch”. More than 1500 guests were invited to his birthday luau. Some of the list of foods for the birthday celebration included 271 hogs, 2,245 coconuts, 4,000 taro plants, more than 5,000 salt fish and fresh fish and a variety of additional fruits, vegetables and island delicacies.
