Eat Bugs at Bug Appetit

Eat Bugs at Bug Appetit

After you’ve had your fill of gumbo and jambalaya, take your taste buds on an exotic adventure at Bug Appetit in The Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium. This is one of the largest museums in the world dedicated to insects. In many cultures, insects are an important source of protein and if cooked correctly can become a delicious meal or treat. Grab a seat at the insect kitchen and watch bug chefs add creepy crawlies to their edible creations. You can sample a variety of unusual dishes at the bug buffet. Cinnamon Bug Crunch and Six Legged Salsa are two of the chef’s specialties.
