Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens and Waterfall

Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens and Waterfall

Due to the high mineral content of its water and the kaleidoscope of colors on the rock wall behind the falls, this is the most colorful waterfall in the Caribbean. The colors in the 55 foot waterfall are constantly changing. It is surrounded by the lush vegetation of the oldest botanical gardens on the island. Originally, this was part of a 2000 acre estate given to the Devaux family by the King of France in 1713. It was a working plantation that produced limes and cacao. Today, it is a very popular heritage site and one of the best preserved estates on the island.
