Climb the Petrin Lookout Tower
Perched on a hilltop above Malá Strana, this observation tower offers breathtaking views over Prague, the Vltava River and the surrounding landscapes of Bohemia. See a different side of the city as landmarks are visible in all directions from the tower. If you want the sense of accomplishment, you can climb the tower’s 299-step spiral staircase or if you want to save your feet, take the elevator to an open-air viewing platform.
Petřín Lookout Tower opened in 1891 as part of the Prague Jubilee Exhibition, a centennial celebration of the city’s first world’s fair. The inspiration for the 210 foot tower’s design was taken from the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris.
