Climb the Grouse Grind at Grouse Mountain
Grouse Mountain is one of Vancouver’s prime ski hills, but it is also home to one of the most challenging hikes in the lower mainland. The Grouse Grind is a 1.8-mile trail. That doesn’t sound so bad, until you realize it leads straight up the side of Grouse Mountain. Even those who live in Vancouver have christened the trail “Mother Nature’s Stairmaster.”
If you are in town during September, enter the Grouse Grind Mountain Run and see how fast you can make it up the windy, stone-stepped trail. Once at the top, you can enjoy an aerial tram ride, back down the mountain.
