China Watermelon Museum
This futuristic, modern museum is filled with wax watermelons setup in creative displays illuminated by hundreds of neon lights. Located in one of the highest watermelon producing regions in the world, the countryside just south of Beijing was the perfect location for this shrine. Each exhibit is a work of art. You will learn all about the history of this delicious fruit, its growing methods and China’s “Watermelon Culture”. You can even go outside and see hundreds of watermelons being grown. Most of the displays don’t have English subtitles, but you can still enjoy the colors and neon lights. As an added bonus, you will hear the soundtrack from the Titanic being played on a continuous loop.
