Belmont Estate Cocoa Plantation
One of Grenada’s oldest working cocoa plantations that dates back to the late 1600s, will give you an up close introduction of bean-to-bar chocolate production. You will see cocoa processing demonstrations like “walking the cocoa” and “dancing the cocoa” which is part of the process for drying and polishing cocoa beans with your feet. There is also an organic farm, a garden, a heritage museum and a restaurant without walls on top of the hill of the estate. After your tour, take a break in the Belmont Estate Restaurant as you enjoy delicious Grenadian cuisine and the best organic chocolate in the world.
