Paraguay

The Heart of South America

Located in the center of South America, this landlocked country has old-world charm and plenty of adventures for nature lovers. If you have ever wanted to bask in the sun on a giant lily pad, then you are in luck. Paraguay is famous for the Victoria Amazonica, a water lily that has leaves up to 10 feet wide. Paraguay is known for its fine laces, silver jewelry and brightly-colored ceramics. It is also home to the world’s biggest rodent, the Capybara. It weighs over 150 pounds. When you visit any of the locals, don’t expect to find a doorbell at their home. You just stand by the front door and clap your hands.
